The IB Diploma Programme is designed to be a challenging and well-balanced curriculum for study with final exams between the ages of 16 and 19. It prepares the students for university and a future career. The Programme takes two academic years to complete and is recognised and well-respected by the leading universities throughout the world. The
entire curriculum is English language-based. The
Teaching process is directed, administered and assessed by the IBO. Teachers delivering the Diploma Course are additionally qualified and certificated by the IBO. The schools authorised to deliver the course are connected within the Intranet of the world-wide IB schools. The IB Course prepares the students to do future research, aimed at achieving a better world through inter-cultural understanding and respect. The IBO is working with educational institutions, governments and international organisations to further this goal.
There are six main subjects: Modern Languages, Social Sciences, Empirical Sciences, Maths, Arts and PE. Students work on special assignments, such as: Extended Essay, Theory of Knowledge, Creative Writing and Community Work.
Upon graduation students are awarded a Bulgarian Secondary Education Diploma, an English GCSE and an IB Diploma.
